Building a website is much like building any structure: form follows function. The aesthetic of an online store should primarily be based on its intended purpose, does your store one specific product (ex. an appliance that makes freeze pops made in seven minutes flat) or is it optimized for browsing (ex. hundreds of products that organized by category)?
